“Four Paws Sake” hosts Motorcycle Run To Raise Support for Local Strays

Council Member Elizabeth S. Crowley joined dozens of motorcyclists in Glendale to raise support and awareness for Four Paws Sake Rescue, an animal shelter that provides a safe haven for stray, neglected and abused animals throughout New York City.

Chopper enthusiasts revved up their engines and rode from Yonkers to Queens in the first annual Four Paws Sake Motorcycle Run. The run, which ended at Atlas Park in Glendale, NY was also host to reality personality appearances from the cast of Jerseylicious.

At the popular shopping center, people came together for raffles, prizes, music and fun. Dogs that Four Paws Sake currently has up for adoption were also available for a little TLC, so that potential pets could be paired up with prospective owners.

Four Paws Sake is a 100% no-kill animal shelter in Middle Village, NY that undertakes rescue operations to care for orphaned, stray, abused and special needs cats and dogs. They also work to generate awareness in the community about spay/neuter programs and ways to prevent animal abuse and neglect. The organization works to vaccinate, rehabilitate and place pets into homes where they will forever be safe and loved.

Council Member Elizabeth S. Crowley said, “Four Paws Sake is a fantastic organization that provides compassionate care for our City’s homeless dogs. I encourage anyone looking for a pet to seek out your local shelter to find your perfect pet, before going to a pet store.”
