Students at P.S. 88 in Ridgewood were treated to a special screening of the movie New York Says Thank You. The film follows firefighters, touched by the national support after September 11, volunteering their time to help others affected by natural disaster.

Council Member Elizabeth Crowley addressed the students about the importance of being prepared for terrorist attacks or natural disaster and about the power of standing together as a community and giving back. She also stressed that young people can make a difference and contribute great ideas.
