Woodhaven

Woodhaven is a mostly residential neighborhood split in half by a busy commercial district on Jamaica Avenue. The neighborhood retains a suburban feel, thanks to the tree lined streets and single family homes that dominate the neighborhood.

North of Woodhaven lies Forest Park, the third largest park in Queens, and a major attraction in the 30th Council District. Thousands of visitors frequent the park for the 500 acres of lush, tree-lined hiking trails, bridal paths, and athletic fields and courts. The park also boasts a 110-acre par 67 golf course and the George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell, which can accommodate 3,500 people for concerts and shows.
