The Department of City Planning announced the beginning of the public review process for the rezoning proposal of Richmond Hill and Woodhaven. Jamaica Avenue Elevated Tracks Get Fresh Coat of Paint

The new paint creates a distinct difference in the neighborhood. In 2009, Council Member Elizabeth Crowley stood with State Senator Joe Addabbo, Assemblyman Mike Miller, and Maria Thomson, executive director of the Woodhaven Business Improvement District to demand that the MTA repaint and renovate the elevated tracks along Jamaica Avenue.
