Andrew Yang and former Councilmember Elizabeth Crowley announced last week that they are supporting one another’s respective campaigns for mayor and Queens borough president.
Queens borough president candidate Elizabeth Crowley also referenced public safety as she appeared Friday with Yang for a cross-endorsement event in Bayside. “Andrew will work to keep New York City’s streets safe,” she said.
But Richards might not get to the keep the seat for long. To hold onto the job, he must win election to a full term this year. And standing in his way are two formidable opponents.
Elizabeth Crowley’s campaign says its candidate has “the strongest momentum of the field after winning the NY1 Queens borough president debate and raising $28,000 during the final matchable fundraising period.”
The Transit Workers Union has endorsed Elizabeth Crowley for Queens borough president. TWU Local 100, which represents 41,000 transportation workers throughout the city, announced today that it is backing her in the June 22 primary.
